The apprenticeship program is a two-four month long, 1-2 day per week comprehensive bicycle mechanic course. Training consists of hands on instruction, supervised work, and lastly, an immersion session that will allow the students to make repairs on bikes in a problem solving capacity.
Students are given instruction in afternoon sessions, from 1-6:30 on either Monday Wednesday, or Saturday. Max class size is 3 students per day, although usually, a second teacher will be brought in if more than two students are expected. You will be able to choose a specialty in training, as we are happy to provide extra training in an area of interest, while maintaining a well-rounded education in general bicycle mechanics.
A certificate of completion and a detailed record of skills will be provided at the time of graduation. Letters of recommendation will be provided for all related jobs.
